Origin

Cholistan, Punjab, Pakistan

Irrigated forage against pale desert. We work at source in District Bahawalpur, near Derawar Fort.

Cholistan — locally Rohi — is the desert of southern Punjab. Forage farming has expanded here because the climate is dry at harvest: hay cures in open air and travels with lower mould risk than humid origins. That is a regional fact, not a production statistic.

Cholistan Rhodes sources and prepares forage in this landscape. Fields are selected in Bahawalpur district. Standing crop and cured hay can be photographed for the buyer before baling. Lots that are weed-mixed or rain-damaged are rejected.

Landscape and process photographs are representative of Cholistan forage agriculture and export logistics. They are not labelled as on-site company photography.
